The scariest thing to me is that as much as this may be obvious to some people who work with youth, did you notice how the interview ended? The CNN reporter in the first interview ended by questioning the findings saying, "the reason I'm asking is because I'm not sure that I see it as much as you do." I don't see how someone can't see that everything from music videos to magazine covers in the grocery stores to the fact that an alarming percentage of kids by the age of 11 have encountered pornography on the web has increased over the past 20-30 years. I think it illustrates how desensitized we have become and are afraid as parents and adults to really engage the issues of sex, especially those that the Dr. Brown mentioned commitment, contraception and consequences.

Exactly. Did you hear yesterday on CNN they did a story about two 6th graders having sex in a Shop class at school. The interview is fascinating. One kid was a "lookout" for the other two.
